Edward Gilson, beinge brought to this Cort. by a Note from Mr. Thomas Haynes, a member of the Cort., upon suspicion of the murdering of Robert Biss, Servt. to Major Robert Bristow, upon examinacon of divers witnesses concerneing the sde. busines, this Cort. doth not finde yt: the sde. Gilson did doe any thing to the sde. Biss but what was justifiable to bee done by an Overseer to Servts., under his command. Therefore ye sde. Gilson is acquitted from the death of the sde. Biss and ordered to pay costs." (1)
