"Was born in the south of Scotland, worked long in the city of Edinburgh, and in the town of Kelso upon Tweed, and also undertook and built a church at Inverness, in the north of Scotland. The said servant was purchased three weeks ago at Monday point, on Potowmack, from on board the Friendship, Capt. Park, from Glasgow. He speaks broad, writes a good hand, and may probably make himself out a pass."
