His pay per month was 6 2/3 dollars. In July 1777, he was promoted to Corporal, and received 7 1/3 dollars pay per month. In August 1777 his term of enlistment was \"for the war.\" Philip was taken prisoner 11 September 1777. This is the last that is known of Philip.\" (1)
