Clendening's conclusion that Derby Dunaway moved from St. Mary's County, Maryland to Lancaster County, Virginia should be verified. The man by this name in St. Mary's purportedly had completed his indenture by 1674; however, there is also a Derby listed as a freed servant in 1682 in Lancaster County, Virginia. Are they the same individuals or two different men?
