"1676 Apr 10. William Edward Servt. to David Allison hath served his said Mastr. Six yeares, And now Sueing his Matr. for his freedome, this Court thinks fitt to grant & order the same By reason that he was Capt. Gutteryes Cabbin Boy, who brought him into this Country, to whome he had beene Servt. in that qualaty Seaven yeares; as alsoe for that he was not brought to be adjudged at Court within the time limited by Law and it is Ordered at he be paid his Corne & Cloathes wth costs Signed Rich: Parrot. This above Ordr. is not to be in force till next Court when this Business is to be reheard." (1)
